We are Ambassadors

Gethsemane Baptist believes that every Christian young adult (5th - 12th) is called to be an “Ambassador for Christ” (2 Cor. 5:20). The GBC youth ministry exists to emphasize this calling and work alongside parents in the nurture and admonition of their child. Through preaching, worship, recreation, fellowship, community outreach, and various other activities, children and teens alike will be presented with the gospel truth and taught how to develop a Christ-centered lifestyle. It is our belief that young adults possess a unique and integral function to the Body of Christ, which we seek to grow and develop. In all, our goal at Gethsemane is to truly invest in today’s youth and direct them towards a life of denying one’s self and fully glorify God.

Purpose Statement

The Youth Group of GBC exists to develop teen ambassadors of Christ who strive to announce the good news of the gospel, to apply the teachings of Scripture, to assist the ministry of the church, and to advance the relationships among fellow believers.

Biblical & Foundational Goal: 1 Corinthians 5:20 - “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”
